Helping others is part of our commitment to our community, to ourselves and to the values of Torah, and is fundamental to the development of caring individuals and committed Jews. Through our Jesin-Neuberger Community Service Program, our students have the opportunity to participate in the needs of our community and to engage in Tikun Olam (acts of kindness).
TanenbaumCHAT has expanded the basic Ministry of Education community service requirement. All our students must volunteer a minimum of 18 hours of community service each year, which collectively totals approximately 27,000 hours of service annually. This contribution to the wellbeing of others is part of our educational curriculum and is carried out under the sponsorship of a wide range of community organizations such as local charities, synagogues, schools, the UJA, and non-profit agencies.
