How to apply for September 2025

Online Applications will open for the 2025-2026 school year on September 1

Throughout the admissions process, we will get to know each other and we will assess how we can best support your child to ensure their success at TanenbaumCHAT. For more information on applying see below:

Step 1: Submit an Application

To begin the application process, you must first create an account through the Admissions Portal with a unique username and password. The login information will be important to have throughout the admissions process.

Once created, candidates will complete an “Admissions Checklist” which contains 10 categories, plus Parent Open House/Student Tour registrations. An application will only be considered “submitted” once the mandatory checklist items are complete.

Applications must be completed by the December 1 deadline.

Already started your application or are a current TanenbaumCHAT family? Log in to the Admissions Portal  to complete your application.

Step 2: Write Placement Tests

Placement tests are a required part of the application process. Each future TanenbaumCHAT student will write tests in English, Math, and Hebrew. Students entering the New Stream program are not required to write the Hebrew test. We use the test to help us determine class placement and abilities.

We must be in receipt of a completed application (Admissions Checklist) prior to writing placement tests.

Please note that registration for Placement Tests is available on the Candidate’s Admissions Checklist. You may access the checklist via the Admissions Portal.

Placement tests will be taking place on Sunday, November 3 OR Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Step 3: Interview

Once your application is reviewed and all necessary documents have been provided, we will get in touch to schedule an interview. The student and at least one parent or guardian must attend. No preparation is required.

Interviews take place between October and February.

Step 4: Decision

Offers of Acceptance are available via the Admissions Portal on Friday, February 21, 2025.

An email will be sent to inform you to access your portal to submit your decision.  Offers must be signed and returned to the school with the confirmation deposit to secure your child’s place by Friday, February 28, 2025. For more information on the Admissions process, please complete an inquiry form and we will be happy to help!
