Students together in the sun at the opening carnival.

As the summer break came to an end on September 4th, students and staff at TanenbaumCHAT arrived at school for the beginning of a new year. The morning bell rang out to announce to everyone that school was underway again and that exciting opportunities and learning were upon us.

Students arrived equipped with books, supplies and knapsacks ready to get started. Staff arrived eager to work with students to open their hearts and minds to new ideas and perspectives. In no time at all, the classrooms were buzzing, and teachers were delving right into the rich curriculum offered at TanenbaumCHAT.  All came together as part of a strong, united and caring school community.

In a few short days, the Jewish People will celebrate Rosh Hashana and usher in the Jewish New Year. Our sacred gathering reminds us that we are part of something larger than ourselves, part of a קהילה, a Jewish community.

Just five days after the school bell announced a new school year, the Jewish People will hear the call of the Shofar heralding the beginning of the Jewish new year. Both signify the start of new beginnings and the importance of uniting as a community in purpose and in peoplehood.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish our entire קהילה a sweet start to the year, both in school and at home.

ומתוקה שנה טובה

Shabbat Shalom and Happy New Year to the entire TanenbaumCHAT Community.
