TanenbaumCHAT is a co-educational community Jewish high school operating in the Greater Toronto Area.  We offer an exciting and extensive educational experience both inside and outside the classroom. Reporting to the Principal, the VP of Curriculum and Learning will work closely with other members of the Educational Leadership Team to promote excellence in learning and maximize student learning outcomes. Primary duties will include: assist with the development and implementation of curriculum with an emphasis on Jewish Studies, identify areas for improvement, and help craft a vision for the future. The ideal candidate will be able to lead Professional Development for teachers, help set school wide initiatives and ensure that curricula are consistent.

Duties will include:

-Work with Department Heads and staff to identify short and long term goals

-Support and mentor staff to build capacity as instructional leaders

-Be the lead agent of curriculum development with a particular emphasis on Judaic Studies

-Assist to plan and implement Professional Development including a multi year PD strategy

-Initiate and lead innovation and continual improvements in teaching and learning

-Work to ensure consistency of classroom experiences

-Other administrative duties/Project managing assignments as determined by the school


-A well developed knowledge of high school and at least 5 years of experience working in a high school

-The ability to work collaboratively with staff

-Experience in area of teacher supervision and teacher mentoring

-Possess knowledge in a variety of subjects (both Judaic and general)

-Be able to inspire staff towards improvement in their professional practice

- Knowledgeable about leading-edge educational research
