Physical Education and Athletics Program feature prominently in our school program. Both campuses have excellent sports facilities including gyms, fully-equipped exercise rooms and fields.

Our Athletics Program invites participation at all levels, from the student who simply wants to learn a new sport to the elite athlete who is considering a professional sports career. The program promotes self-confidence in students; good sportsmanship and a positive approach to competition; leadership and team-building skills; an enjoyment of physical activity and positive representation of TanenbaumCHAT.

Throughout the year there is a thriving sports and extra-curricular life on both campuses. TanenbaumCHAT Wallenberg Campus plays in the TDCAA Sports League (competing in tennis, cross-country, basketball, track and field, volleyball and baseball), and TanenbaumCHAT Kimel Centre plays in the York Region league. There are also many intra-mural and inter-campus competitions, and TanenbaumCHAT students travel across Canada and the USA to participate in competitions and events with other Jewish and non-Jewish high schools.

In most sports, teams are fielded in all appropriate levels. These change year to year, according to student interest and available school resources. Sports offered may include:
