How to apply

Throughout the admissions process, we will get to know each other and we will assess how we can best support your child to ensure their success at TanenbaumCHAT. For more information on applying see below:

Step 1: Submit an Application

Our application deadline for new student entry in September 2025 has passed. The application deadline was December 1, 2024. Applications for new student entry in September 2026 will be available in the fall. If you would like information, please feel free to contact us at findyourself@tanenbaumchat.org.

Step 2: Write Placement Tests

Placement tests are a required part of the application process. Each future TanenbaumCHAT student will write tests in English, Math, and Hebrew. Students entering the New Stream program are not required to write the Hebrew test. We use the tests to help us determine class placement and abilities.

You can choose between two placement test dates when completing the application: Sunday, November 2, 2025 or Sunday, December 7, 2025

We must be in receipt of a completed application prior to writing placement tests.

Step 3: Interview

Once your application is reviewed and all necessary documents have been provided, we will get in touch to schedule an interview. The student and at least one parent or guardian must attend. No preparation is required.

Interviews take place between October and February.

Step 4: Decision

Offers of Acceptance are available via the Admissions Portal on Friday, February 20, 2026.

An email will be sent to inform you to access your portal to submit your decision.  Offers must be signed and returned to the school with the confirmation deposit to secure your child’s place by Friday, February 27, 2026.
