Admissions

Welcome to TanenbaumCHAT and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school. It is our privilege to share with you all the exciting opportunities that are unique to our students’ high school careers. You will discover how we prepare students to excel academically in their post-secondary studies and beyond, while empowering them with the knowledge and skills to strengthen their Jewish identity in a meaningful and relevant way.

While you are considering your child’s high school options, I encourage you to schedule a private tour where you will see how our engaging and nurturing atmosphere really does speak for itself! You will be welcomed into a community filled with ruach (spirit); the community that defines the TanenbaumCHAT Experience.

Throughout the admissions process, we will get to know each other and assess how we can best support your child to ensure their success at TanenbaumCHAT. I welcome your call and look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Laurie Wasser, CAEP

Admissions Process

Step 1: Submit an Application

You can complete an application here. Information regarding document requirements is provided.

Please note that the application deadline is December 1, 2017.

Step 2: Write Placement Tests

Placement tests are a required part of the application process. Each future TanenbaumCHAT student will write tests in English, Math, French, and Hebrew. Students entering the New Stream program are not required to write the Hebrew test. We use the tests to help us determine class placement and abilities.

You can choose between two placement test dates when completing the application: Sunday, November 26, 2017 or Sunday, December 3, 2017.

Step 3 Interview

Once your application is reviewed and your placement tests are marked, we will get in touch to schedule an interview. The student and at least one parent or guardian must attend. No preparation is required.

Step 4: Decision

Offers of Acceptance are sent via email in February. Offers must be signed and returned to the school to secure your child's place. For more information on the Admissions Process, please complete an inquiry form and we will be happy to help!
